How the site is funded
WebcamMadeira is free to use. There is no paywall and no account required to watch. Google AdSense pays for hosting, the database, the uptime monitor, and editorial time. That money does not pay for video streaming bandwidth. We do not host or measure the live picture.
Cameras and video delivery
We do not own the camera hardware. YouTube, Beachcam, SurfTotal, and NetMadeira deliver the video. We link to their pictures. We do not operate their cameras.
Editorial independence
There are no paid placements. There are no sponsored rankings. We do not favour a camera because someone paid. If a camera sits higher on a page, that is an editorial decision, not a sale.
