What the airport cameras can say about the wind
A rough sea and a go-around are visible. Knots are not. The crosswind check is the short page.
·

The runway at Santa Cruz is short, with the sea on one side and the hill on the other. People watch approaches because the wind across that runway matters. A camera is not an anemometer.
Open the airport cameras. The pictures are the spotter cameras named on the airport page, including Cassiano's Restaurant and Bar. Look for three things together: white water on the sea, cloud stuck on the hill, and an aircraft that climbs away instead of rolling out. One go-around on a calm sea is ordinary here. Several, with a rough sea, belong next to the crosswind check.
The arrivals list is not this picture. It is linked from the airport category in your language. Where to stand, and what not to do, is the spotting note. This page does not invent a wind speed or a limit for your flight. The airline and the tower decide that.
