When to look at the Madeira fuel week
The published ceiling changes by week. This note does not quote a price. The fuel page does, from the official notice.
·

Road fuel on Madeira has a published weekly ceiling. The figure changes when a new week is posted. It is not a live pump price, and it is not printed here.
Open the fuel page the day you land, or the day before a long loop of the island. It shows the week that is in force and, when the source has already published the next one, that week too. If the next week is not up yet, the page says so. Do not carry a number over from last month.
The airport cameras are the runway, not a petrol station. Use them to see whether the drive out of Santa Cruz is into hill cloud, then the morning check before you pick the north coast. A full tank does not make a grey ridge worth the drive.
