About this webcam
The view from up here is one of the most striking on the northern coast, looking straight down into the deep ravines and the Atlantic Ocean. The observation deck sits 300 meters above sea level, right on the edge of the coastline. You can watch the ocean waves hitting the dark stone pillars below, where steady rain erosion cuts into the volcanic rock over time.
As locals who drive the coastal roads often, we always stop at this viewpoint. Checking the live camera saves a wasted trip down the narrow access road when the six parking spots are already full. The camera looks directly out from the high deck, showing the dark cliffs dropping into the water and the starting point of the Caminho da Entrosa trail winding down the ridge.
